Marriage isn’t easy.  Sometimes the difficulty we have in our marriage is minor. Sometimes it’s not, but wouldn’t it be helpful to have a mentor? –Someone who has struggled and still maintained a godly marriage.  Many of us struggle and have no one to go to for advice.  We see women who seem happy, but are they, really?  Are women putting on a show because they don’t want people to know they struggle? Women can be happily married.  They just need to focus on Christ so they can be fulfilled in their marriage, and they need help from someone who has walked the same path.  Happily married or not, we all need someone to confide in who will give us godly advice.
Sandy Ralya, critically-acclaimed author and speaker and founder of Beautiful Womanhood, has developed a new curriculum called “The Beautiful Wife” to assist churches in building their own marriage mentoring ministries.
The goal of “The Beautiful Wife” is to enrich your marriage.  Ralya helps you understand your role in marriage, guides you by showing you how to focus on the right priorities and also shows you the importance of taking care of yourself.  Each chapter contains reflection questions and first steps which can be used in a group or individually.
“The Beautiful Wife Prayer Journal” helps you delve more deeply into each chapter study.  Daily prayers and scripture memory verses are included for reinforcement of the weekly readings.  The journal also encourages you to receive feedback from your spouse such as prayer requests.  It’s a good tool to promote honesty and communication in your relationship.  By the end of the 12 weeks, you and your husband will be blessed if you are honest with each other and encourage each other along the way.
“The Beautiful Wife Mentor Guide” offers guidelines in how to implement a mentoring ministry and how to lead a small group through “The Beautiful Wife” curriculum.  A hostess guide is also included.  A guide to each chapter is included with a helpful accountability guide which will encourage your group to stay on track.
People benefit as marriages are strengthened.  It took marital problems of her own for Ralya to realize the need for a Christian marriage mentoring ministry for women.  Sharing biblical principles, practical tips and inspiring stories from her life, Ralya wants others to be encouraged to look for God’s best in their marriage.
